I just bought "Far and Away" based on your previous recommendation and the sequel to "Killers of a Certain Age" which I didn't even know was out until someone else mentioned it in a comment on one of your posts.
I felt like I was late to "The God of the Woods" party and was worried it had been overhyped. It lived up to the hype for me—and then some.
I remember you mentioning a question about the title on a recent podcast episode. Not sure if you had already finished it or not. But I loved the title and thought it was very clever in the way it shifted meaning for me over the course of the novel.
I'm continuing my on-the-nose summer-themed books by finally reading "Tom Lake" (I guess being late to megahit bestsellers is my thing?).
I am so happy you loved Thursday Murder Club. I had the exact same reaction: Where has this book been my whole life? Please finish the series, because book 5 comes out later this year.
And, you didn't love The Marlow Murder Club. I didn't either... at first. Mostly because I did what you did, and read them one right after the other. I suggest you come back to it later, because those three ladies are quite entertaining. I just finished the 4th book in that series last night.
I am buying The Spy Coast RIGHT THIS MINUTE, because I'm getting on a plane to Europe next Wednesday.
I haven’t tried the Marlowe Murder Club! Huh. I AM on book three of the Thursday murder club series :). There is no way I dont rip through those. Nope—and bc no search engine is gonna flag this, I’ll tell you: it’s the one that is not in the picture.

I was a bit mixed on that although I ended up enjoying it. I think the satisfying (albeit batshit unlikely) ending has a lot to do with its success.
