Everyone is raving about “just for the summer” and I got 30 pages in and nope… I don’t need to know that the protagonist walks around the front of the car. I love the premise, but ugh… writing could use a good edit. I’m trying to be better about DNF things.
My mom CANNOT DNF things, so when I started something recently that I knew she had too and wouldn't like I called her immediately and was like, just don't start. Just don't/. I gave that to you, I got it free anyway, put it in someone's little free library right now and don't look back!
I’ve never returned a book yet but I wish I had! I’m not sure you read fantasy but this is more romance in alternative world A Letter to the Luminous Deep. Told in letters and diary entries. I’m really liking it.

I haven’t finished it yet but so far so good. Also if you want something twisty and fast, The Club was a fun summer camping read from last week.
II was looking forward to Lies and Weddings also but couldn't get into in either.
It just didn’t feel like it was going to have any heart AND it was annoyingly written!!
