I landed on "Haruki Murakami is kind of an asshole and I don't like his writing." What freedom!

I was talking on IG with Christie Tate and we just went back and forth, back and forth. This is culturally appropriate modesty/he’s an asshole. It alternates page to page I SWEAR. “I’m just a guy who didn’t even want to write a book! And I did! And people were mean about it but that’s because they don’t get me!”it’s been on the delay pile for an awfully long time... but I might finish it.

Also, what I'm reading:

How to Be Perfect (on audio, as recommended by Jeff from Book Riot)

Imaginable (loving it)

Overcoming Collaboration Overload (LOVING it, it's going to change my working life)

No fiction right now, but I've been diving into a lot of great kids fiction earlier this year (The Green Glass House, The Dark Is Rising, Ronan Boyle series, Mrs Frisby and the Rats of NIMH) so I'm just going in cycles.

I have how to be perfect for that same reason.

Answering the question "How many books do you usually have going at once?" I try to only have four books in play at a time. Three eye-books (generally one fiction, one non-fiction, one graphic) and one ear-book. Everything else (partially-read or not read at all) returns to the queue.

I notice that I seem to keep non-fiction rollling longer. I'm less likely to outright bail. And--unless I'm traveling--e-books unless they're amazing, because I kind of forget about them.
